Practice the services of still and sparkling wine, learn cool cork tricks and learn your wine serving etiquette. Matching your wine with the right glass. Wine faults will be discovered through a wine stinky smelling kit to train your smell memory.
Practice your sense of smell. You will be able to find aroma clusters in wine. You will learn about residual sugar, acidity, alcohol and tannin in wine. Wine aromas will be discovered through a professional wine aroma kit to train your smell memory.
Discover Food&Wine pairing techniques. Learn about the interaction of salt, sugar, acidity and bitterness in food with wine. Learn how to select your wine with your preferred food. It is advised to take course 2. Aromas and wine tasting and at least one country specific course first.
Discover the wines of France on a trip from Alsace, through Champagne, to the Loire and back to Burgundy. This course is mainly focussed on white wine, and white wine making.
Discover the wines of France on a trip from Beaujolais, through the Rhone, tall the way via the south of France to Bordeaux. This course is mainly focused on red wine, and red wine making.
Discover Rose wines: from an easy-drinking wine for at the beach to a gastronomical rose wine experience. Learn what type of rose matches what type of dish.
Discover the main areas of Spain and its wines. Learn to explain about the Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rias Baixas (Albarino grape), and Penedez (Cava). This course will cover white, red and sparkling wines of Spain.
Learn about the wines of Italy, the wine regions of Piemonte, Tuscany, and Prosecco. This course will cover white, red and sparkling wines of Italy. Learn to decant the famous Barolo.
The New World is basically all that is not Europe. To keep this topic accecible, wines from Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand will be covered.
In this session different European sparkling wines will be discovered. Come on a trip to discover Champagne, French Crémants, Italian Franciacorta, Spanish Cava, Italian Moscato, Italian Prosecco.
